The Forest of Oma, one of the most known works of the Basque artist Agustin Ibarrola, is an example of "land art", a creative trend that first appeared in the 60s, which seeks to take art to nature and use the countryside as the artist’s frame, support and medium.Figures that appear and get transformed while you move.

Figures that appear and get transformed while you walk.

We walk along the Forest and the figures appear, get shaped behind our eyes: sometimes the shape of an only tree has its own entity, while other times you must observe a group of trees to understand the art work.

In addition, your perception of the figures varies depending on the point you are looking from: the figures change and transform their shape as you move. So really you could call this a customized tour, as the artist makes each visitor be the absolute protagonist of his work.

Come and enjoy the tour!
